XXL Cherry  Yarn Bowl –Home decor? Functional yarn tool? Heirloom yarn bowl? This piece is all three. Reminiscent of a Greek Urn, the  7" (inside opening) flares to an inward angled 9" rim (outside) diameter; there's nice depth for storage at 8" (od). Circumference at widest midpoint  is a generous 29-1/2". Find out more about choosing the right size yarn bowl for you and how to measure our yarn bowls using diameter vs. circumference here.

Bob's cool spiral j-groove takes front and center with several deep chocolate knots set in classic cherry tones and grains. Some yarners might find the groove more decorative than functional in a piece this size, but when this yarn bowl is unpacked for yarning, two medium balls will roll nicely. You can easily fit an entire "Super Saver" 7.5 oz ball with plenty of room to spare or, pull several smaller balls of fine or stash yarn from the top (see photos). There's plenty of space for everything when your #wip is artfully set aside. And, for those with mischievous felines, this yarn bowl is also "paw proof".

This specimen of cherry was crafted over a three month period. The nice even shape is unusual for fresh hardwood  as it frequently warps in varying degrees while curing for a couple months. Over twenty two coats of finish/hand-buffing have brought out a the brilliant, durable shine. A final coat of imported museum wax is added before it ships to resist fingerprints and stains.

Dimensions listed are approximate. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; #1141 with "Cherry" (species) engraved as well. A beautiful, artful yarn bowl that will not be duplicated... ever.
