​This XXXL Yarn Bowl Set will ace your biggest yarning projects. Over four months in the making, this local cherry specimen was sl​lowly cured and crafted. Features include interesting pool of deep chocolate buffed bark gracing the back side, a generous band of emerald inspired sparkle inlay is set into the rim setting off the pretty light to deep cherry tones and grains. You'll love the stunning light to dark cherry tones and grains and the graceful yarn groove with Bob's proprietary Shooting Star Groove. An almost undetectable east-west warp adds interest –a true giveaway that this piece was hand turned from fresh hardwood (warping is more exaggerated in photos). Truly a yarners delight!

Enormous at 13" diameter x 4-1/2" deep with a circumference of 40" around the middle, it holds a ton of yarn! The bonus glass tool cup/hub measures 3-1/2" diameter x 4-1/2" high; and doubles as a stand alone tool you'll use constantly in or out of the bowl. Two very large balls of worsted yarn or a giant ball of blanket yarn will roll nicely through the groove, or, you can work several balls of yarn pulling from the top with the bonus glass tool/cup hub placed in the center of the bowl to avoid tangles.

Sixteen coats of finish were applied and hand-buffed to bring out the rich character of the wood. A final coat of imported museum wax was added to resist fingerprints and stains, making it smooth as glass. More than a functional yarn tool, it's a museum grade collectible that will be admired by all when the work is set aside. Dimensions listed are approximate.
