This XL yarn bowl is a beauty, with its sapphire-inspired inlaid rim, Bob’s silky groove, raised base for added ballast, and a brilliant gloss finish that stays that way. Dimensions: 8¾” diameter × 5” deep, with a circumference of 29½” around the middle. Roomy projects are more portable, with room for extras too.

When unpacked for yarning, 12 oz balls roll smoothly through the Fibonacci groove. If you use 16 oz “Jumbo”/“Pounder” skeins, load the entire skein into the bowl tail-down and through the groove for more controlled collapses toward the end. Oversized yarn cakes and blanket yarns work well too, or top-pull a few small balls of fine yarn nestled around the hub simultaneously for swift, smooth pulling... Don’t forget to use it for frogging! Pile your work on top when you’re done and leave it anywhere for all to admire.
Lovingly hand-crafted over four months; the unusually round shape is a bonus, as fresh hardwoods can warp considerably while curing. Over seventeen coats of finish and hand-buffing bring out the rich character of the wood tones and super shine. A final coat of imported museum wax is added to resist fingerprints and stains.

Dimensions listed are approximate. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered #2609, with “Cherry” (species) engraved as well.
